FAQs

Q: Am I eligible for COVID-19 testing through Harvard?

A: You are eligible for testing through Harvard if you meet one of the following conditions:

  • You live in an on-campus dorm or House. (Apartments managed by Harvard University Housing do not count as on-campus housing).
  • You have been authorized by the FAS Division of Social Science (or other School or Division) to be on campus more than 4 hours per week.
  • You are a current Harvard College undergraduate living off campus in the Boston area and were enrolled in HUHS's pilot testing program in September.

Q: I don't fall into the categories above, but I still want a COVID-19 test (because I was traveling/ want to travel/ want to visit elderly relatives/ was around too many people/ am feeling sick):

A: If you are feeling sick or have interacted with someone with COVID-19, please contact your healthcare provider and follow their instructions. If you want a test for peace of mind or to avoid a travel quarantine, please see the MA COVID-19 test site locator; the MA "stop the spread" sites are free and open to any MA resident (you do not have to live in the community where these sites are located).
