For Postdoctoral Fellows & Visiting Scholars

(Added Nov 2012) Listen to Crimson Knowledge podcasts featuring interviews with Harvard postdocs about their research.

Newly-minted Harvard PhDs who have demonstrated excellence in teaching can apply for the College Fellows program, which pays an annual salary for teaching (usually three courses per year) in specified areas of specialization, while also providing opportunities for research and career development; these are one-year appointments, renewable for a second year depending on instructional needs.

Postdoctoral positions are usually advertised on the Harvard Academic Positions portal. Both current and prospective postdoctoral fellows should visit the website of the FAS Office of Postdoctoral Affairs for additional useful information.

A number of the Division's research centers offer competitive fellowships in specialized areas of study for postdocs or visiting scholars.
